I took this course with my wife a few years ago and found that the scenario-based training dramatically increased our confidence and understanding of how to respond if we come upon an emergency.  Even though the class was two days long, there was so much important information taught that the time flew by.  Of the courses I've taken for first aid through the Red Cross and BSA, I felt this to be the most valuable.  If I don't end up aiding a fellow pilot, it might be someone I don't know, or even a family member that I can help.  Just like it makes sense to repack a reserve and take an SIV course to improve skills and safety margins, everyone should take this course and recognize that it is valuable enough to warrant a refresh every few years! --Bill
